Celine
Celine Women Autumn-Winter 2015 – A terracotta tiled catwalk and glazed ceramic stools set the scene for Celine’s loose and deconstruction AW15 collection.
It was another ultra-chic collection from creative director Phoebe Philo who brought us a mainly neutral line with a delicate mix of textures, undone tailoring and expressions of individuality.
Philo explored the ideas of deconstruction and coming undone; Slinky silk dresses provocatively split in several places, streams and ties hung loose and added movement, collarless-quilted coat-dresses with sleeves that peeled back from the shoulder.
The patch-work detailing, the white trainers, the slouchy yet chic flowing full cut trousers worn with longer length tops, the ribbed high-neck dresses, the zebra print motifs and the reinvented bum bag worn across the shoulder screamed cool.
The colour palette carried out were shades of terracotta, navy, burnt orange and lashings of yellow.
There were asymmetrical leather skirts too, a huge bell cuffed shirt, and a scarf adorned with huge fluffy pompoms, original and achingly cool.
A delicate mix of textures including leather panels and ribbon embroidery were finished with undone edging and fur details. Individuality was expressed in the minor details; some models wore heavy make-up whilst others went bare faced. Some models strutted down the catwalk in all white trainers and some in bejewelled block heeled shoes. Some wore their hair tied and others had theirs hung loose.
Philo expresses the collection is for any woman and can be adapted to any woman’s personal style.
Phoebe Philo created the perfect Autumn-Winter wardrobe that any woman will want.
