Bottega Veneta
Bottega Veneta Woman Spring Summer 2017 – Bottega Veneta celebrated its 50th anniversary this season, along with 15 years under the creative direction of Tomas Maier. The house showed at Accademia di Brera and presented both men’s and women’s collections.
The collection stayed true to the essence of Bottega Veneta, as was only fitting for their half centurion celebration. The show was awash with simple luxury and echoed the classic style of the house.
Men wore floor-length grey trousers with brown cuffs that extended up the chest and were tied at the waist. Shiny suits shimmered in pewter, blue and deep grey. They carried large bags with olive handles and navy blue clutches.
Women wore sweeping coffee leather coats and crocodile jackets paired with cropped navy tailored trousers. Ditsy floral tea dresses came in blues, yellows and pinks whilst business wear was beige. Gowns were long with structure draping and thick leather straps. Shoes were heeled brogues sometimes worn with sheer black ankle socks and jewellery was kept to a minimum with dazzling statement earrings.
