Balenciaga
Balenciaga Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Cool and elegant sum up the feel of Balenciaga’s show, with Demna Gvasalia offering up looks that modified classic looks to create an atmosphere of upmarket minimalism.
Refitted looks made up a host of Balenciaga’s outfits; asymmetric coats that buttoned slightly off-centre acted as one example, whilst many followed a similar style of being buttoned by the shoulder so that the side of the coat was constructed as if it were the main body, fashioning a destandardized sense of the irregular. A thickly knitted jumper in a spirited turquoise colour was paired with a floral, tightly pleated midi-skirt and black pointed toe boots to represent sophisticated juxtapositions.
Bags ranged from oval clutches with a mechanical gleam, to repurposed wing-mirrors and small, pristine clutches, being finished off by ultra-large day bags in rectangular and elliptical shapes
