Anya Hindmarch Woman Spring Summer 2017 – Anya Hindmarch brought an iconic show again for Spring Summer 2017. It was set in what looked to be a white disc or an amphitheatre and the models entered through a tunnel. The whole catwalk was full of drama, with spinning and changing colours, all of which provided a very dramatic, futuristic styled event.
Alongside the unusual set-up, the clothing was consistent with the futuristic aesthetic. Each of the models entered with dark sunglasses, slicked back low ponytails and white bandages on their head and necks. In addition to this the clothing fit into the space-age ideas.
The colour palette for the collection was expected of a Spring Summer collection, with bright colours you would anticipate for a summer wardrobe. Key tones were pale blue, lemon yellows, pinks, whites, violets and emerald greens. These colours even extended onto the footwear and accessories, which remained consistent with the collection colours.
The models wore neoprene in form-fitting, figure-hugging bodysuits, and the image was completed by oversized outerwear, scarves tied around the models necks, graphic bags and decorative shoes. The simplistic styling of the models kept the focus of the show on the accessories.
The bags, sunglasses and shoes were decorated with flowers, frills and circular patterns all in pastel and metallic shades, in neoprene material. The bags came in a variety of shapes and sizes, with stripes and square patterns, and furry key chains. The outerwear and clothing also had these patterns appliqued onto the pockets, shoulders and sleeves. .
