Alberta Ferretti
Alberta Ferretti Women Autumn-Winter 2015 – As the models stepped into the dark and romantic woodland it seemed as though Ferretti had created her own magical fairytale this season.
It was as if she had fallen into a midsummer nights dream, elegantly combining rich fabrics and earthy tones, it was nothing less than feminine perfection. But it was the victorian elements that truly made this forest tale so magnificent. There are some utterly beautiful looks all due to the gorgeous ornate detailing embroidered in gold, black and red. These colours add a royal touch to the collection as well as the combination of structured victorian style necklines. The established baroque patterns are manipulated into contemporary designs with more defined modern shapes including exaggerated peplum waistlines. Despite there being strong shapes, the entire collection has an elegant and natural feel, where pronounced ruffled flowers are fixed into some of the looks. The suede thigh high boot is very subtle, a key piece associated with the victorian era and a continue of the 70’s look seen last season. It was yet another wonderful collection by Alberta Ferretti, highlighting beautiful details in nature, adding a magical, royal twist.
