Agnes B Women Spring Summer 2016 –

Agnes B’s SS16 collection for her self-named brand was one of chic tailoring and sleek cuts.  Unlike other brands, she tends to not follow trends, instead allowing for Agnes B to have its own distinctive style.  Models smiled as they sashayed down the catwalk, in a stark difference to other shows, where the surly look was generally preferred.

Metallic detailing took on the form of a pleated mini skirt and silver handbag, while scarfs spun of fine silk were of significant beauty.  Her desert-style boots and lace up black schoolgirl shoes cemented her aesthetic: one of practicality in fashion, offset by the sharp tailoring and cutesy accessories (the miniature cross over yellow handbag that sat on the hip was a particular favourite).  Her headpieces took on a range of forms, from baker boy hats to flower garlands.  Woven straw brogues and beach bags were paired with ethnic patterned trousers, while florals were emblazoned onto backpacks and dresses.
