Victoria’s Secret reveals new $2.5 million ‘Fantasy Bra’
The push-up ‘Floral Fantasy’ bra features gems handset by Long Island, New York’s London Jewelers, and includes amethysts, sapphires, rubies and diamonds (as well as a removable 20-carat white diamond in the center). “It was perfect for me,” Ambrosio told People magazine on Tuesday. “I felt they made it for me. It’s very romantic.” A matching belt has been studded with over 5,200 precious gems.
Aussie model Miranda Kerr wore last year’s Fantasy Bra in the brand’s fashion show, but this year it is the turn of 31-year-old Ambrosio, who first walked in the lingerie label’s show in 2004, wearing an outfit constructed entirely from candy. The Brazilian is relaxed about her time in the spotlight: having sweated it out in the gym, the mother of two is pretty calm — “I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time.”
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air on CBS in the United States on December 4 at 10pm ET and will feature musical performances from Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber and Rihanna. The regular international lineup of Victoria’s Secret Angels will be on hand to help out Ambrosio, including Orlando Bloom’s wife Miranda Kerr, Peruvian star Adriana Lima, Dutch model Doutzen Kroes and South African Candice Swanepoel.
