Versace reveals winning design in watch competition
Twenty-two-year-old Italian designer Adrien Nebel has won a prestigious design competition judged by the label’s boss Donatella Versace, and Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani for a new women’s watch.
Nebel’s winning entry, the ‘Crepuscolo degli dei’ features a Versace Medusa ring on a chain, and was designed in an all black color scheme, with a brushed silver dial and a leather strap. The watch will go into production with Timex and will be included in an upcoming Versace collection.
“I liked the innovative aspect of the project,” Versace told WWD. “The idea of connecting the watch and the ring with a chain was really new and cutting-edge.”
Alongside the cash prize, Nebel will also be recieve a three-month internship with Timex.
