River Island signs up Korean-born Eudon Choi for capsule

The collaboration was announced with the designer, who was named ‘One to Watch’ by British Vogue in 2012, fresh from his success at the latest London Fashion Week.

The 16-piece collection features soft leather jackets and streamlined finishes inspired by Peter Lindbergh’s famous 1991 ‘Wild at Heart’ photoshoot for American Vogue starring supermodels Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Tatjana Patitz.

“As an emerging designer, the opportunity to work with a major high street retailer is an incredible opportunity. My mainline collections are sold in high-end stores and I love the idea that people all over the UK will be able to buy this collection,” said Choi. 

The brand has released a short fashion film soundtracked by “Cocoon” by Alpines and featuring a number of looks from the collection, which is set to hit River Island stores on September 26, with prices ranging from £30 to £250 (approximately $50 to $400).

Previous design collaborations include the famous capsule collections designed by pop star Rihanna and one by London based Georgia Hardinge.
