Rita Ora designing for Adidas
Following hot on the heels of Pharrell Williams’ collection with Adidas Originals and the announcement earlier this month that London-based designer Mary Katrantzou would be designing a womenswear line for the brand, comes the news that Rita Ora will release a three-season-long collaboration for the German company.
The move hasn’t come as a shock. After months of rumors of the collaboration, the singer’s instagram account has recently captured her trotting out a steady stream of Adidas looks.
“I’m a massive fan of the brand,” she told WWD. “I grew up working at a sneaker store when I was 16 and am a huge sneakerhead. It’s so cool that I’m able to do this with a brand that I sold when I was younger.”
The line will be made up of five different capsule collections named “Black”, “Pastel”, “Colorblock”, “Spray” and “Roses”. They are set to roll out from August to November with a mix of footwear, ready-to-wear and accessories. Prices will range from $30 beanie hats up to $500 for the leather varsity jacket.
Ora has previously appeared in campaign images for DKNY and also walked in a runway show for the brand.
