Rio de Janeiro fashion week: looks from the first shows
Patricia Viera
Models with sexy bedhead hair appeared in sunflower yellow diamond patterns, baby blue and woven taupe, with the woven theme reappearing as a print. Viera also added sparkling holograms, all-over jungle print, laser-cut semi sheer lace and tie and dip-dyed pieces.

The Spring-Summer 2014-2015 collection focused on silks with rococo architectural digital prints that were mirrored and distorted, and cut into tailored shirts and pants, gowns, and skirts. Models wore flat pointed lace-up shoes which came with enough sparkle to match the sequined art-deco floral looks.

The collection opened with a 1960s minimalist vibe with slick silky, sporty finish. Things got broken up with black and white digital print beach scenes, and a minimalist palm leaf silhouette print arrived in orange and pink, alongside stripes and a ‘Lifeguard’ motif. Sheer silk shifts featuring more of the brand’s palm tree inspiration were worn over swimwear.
