PFW: a futuristic summer at Corrie Nielsen

The atmosphere was at once futuristic and slightly retro at the Corrie Nielsen show this morning. The dresses in the new collection are disproportionately voluminous, the sleeves are puffy, the jackets are adorned with golden tassels, the skirts resemble giant springs and the shoes are entirely see-through.

A palette dominated by gold, silver and cream shades — in combination with the high-tech materials used — reinforces the futuristic vibe. At the same time, certain details pointed to the influence of the 1960s: large collars, elegant twin sets and variations on the French twist hairstyle.
