Milan Fashion Week: highlights from day 2

Just Cavalli

Roberto Cavalli’s youthful second line mixed his traditional bright prints with fur, more sombre winter floral tapestry pieces, suede dresses and knee-high boots, and a cool giant metal eyelets detail which was repeated across the collection. The leather biker jackets with oversized shoulders and cropped midriffs were a highlight.

Costume National

At Costume National, designer Ennio Capasa stuck to a mainly monochrome palette with a few flashes of solid red, purple and navy blue. Wearing understated ‘nude’ makeup looks with simple center partings in their hair, his models showed off slouchy tailoring and sharp miniskirts, pinstripes, and plenty of fur gilets and coats.
