LFW: spring blossoms at Simone Rocha

The presentation opened with feathers, which adorned the hems of dresses, pants and jackets — first in black, then in pale beige. Next came an explosion of flowers: 3D blossoms added texture to vibrant floral print dresses and ethereal tulle ones.

Next up was a series of sheer ensembles in which nearly invisible tulle trench coats revealed the pants and dresses worn underneath. Floral motifs returned from time to time in tulle dresses festooned with 3D flowers. The palette shifted back to black, then to white and finally to silver. Concluding the show were a few metallic dresses accented with feathers, closing the loop.

The shoes were flat and decorated with flowers or feathers to match the rest of the ensemble, as were the few handbags seen on the runway.
