G-Star RAW brings together denim and glamour in evening wear range
The ‘Midnight’ collection is inspired by the 1920s, a decade of elegance and decadence, with G-Star RAW proposing denim and canvas in a range of “cultured cuts”. The options include the Midnight pant and blazer, a bowler hat, a white shirt, and the brand’s type-C loose taped jeans.
The ‘Gentlewoman’-themed ladies’ looks features a leather biker-style jacket, an embroidered lace short, a dress shirt and a wax-effect sweatshirt, all ready to be accessorized with a bowtie, a silk scarf and an oversized denim bag.
The brand has also created a special online guide for getting dressed up for the holiday party, called ‘How to Dress Well for the Festive Season’, with a range of outfit options for different scenarios including ‘3-course dinner’, ‘last-minute drinks’, and ‘all-night party’.
New York designer Rebecca Taylor also recently launched an eveningwear line called the Rebecca Taylor Black Tie Collection, and earlier this year Italian label Marni also unveiled its Evening Collection, designed to add some dressier options to the brand’s laid-back luxe vibe.
