Fashion films of the week: Marc Jacobs, Tatler, Bergdorf Goodman
Marc Jacobs – Beige: The Legend Behind the Lens
Marc Jacobs has released a new ‘Zoolander’-esque short film described as “a revealing glimpse into the mind of Beige: arguably, the greatest photographer in the history of fashion”.
Featuring some gorgeous desert backdrops, we see the parody fashion photography ‘Beige’ on set, shooting a range of Marc Jacobs bags and accessories. “Walk on water,” he directs his model. We laughed.
Tatler – Double Take
Shot by Kate Davis-Macleod and styled by Deep Kailey, this short film takes a look at the haute couture shoot in the June issue of Tatler magazine.
Featuring Dutch model Anouk Hagemeijer and a range of luxurious couture outfits, it’s an effects-packed and visually stunning little monochrome treat.
Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf Goodman (Trailer)
Released in theaters stateside on May 3, we thought we’d share the trailer for this fascinating fashion documentary, which takes a look at the “history, inner workings and untold stories” of the world-famous New York department store.
With appearances from fashion icons including Diane Von Furstenberg and Rachel Zoe, the film tracks the rise of the store from a small womenswear boutique through decades of fashion history.
