Clessidra Buys Control of Roberto Cavalli
Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli has been sold to Clessidra, resulting in the private-equity firm acquiring 90 per cent of the brand.
Cavalli told Women’s Wear Daily that he is “extremely satisfied to have signed this agreement with an Italian partner which, I am sure, will further develop what I have built in a lifetime… Clessidra will provide financial, managerial and human resources that will allow the company to grow further and face the challenges of the ever-evolving luxury market.”
Peter Dundas was named the brand’s creative director last month, while last week it was disclosed That Francesco Trapani would take on the role of chairman and the new CEO position will be taken by Renato Semerari.
