Caroline Issa draws on travels for LK Bennett capsule collection

Issa famously once swapped finance for fashion, and has now added another string to her bow with a shoes and accessories capsule collection designed in collaboration with British luxury brand L.K.Bennett.

The collection, which hits stores on February 19, features plenty of bright colors embellishing nude and black shoes, clutches and bags. In fact the style was influenced by Issa’s trip to Thailand and her enjoyment of traditional local embroidery. “I’m so pleased with how they came out” says Issa.

“My style philosophy has always been about letting your shoes do the talking – so I tend to dress with shoes as the starting point,” Issa told the Telegraph. The shoes are a “quintessentially British take on an exotic inspiration,” she added.

Issa was born in Canada, and was working in finance in London when she met the team behind Tank Magazine. She joined the project as fashion director and publisher in 2002, and also established the online-only Because Magazine.

Issa is not the first member of the fashion press to be dragged over to the other side. Last year, Vogue Japan editor-at-large Anna Dello Russo worked with Swedish ‘fast-fashion’ group H&M on an accessories collection.

Established in London, L.K.Bennett now has 174 global locations, with stores in the Unites States, France, the UAE, Spain and the Netherlands. L.K.Bennett London by Caroline Issa will be available in L.K.Bennett flagships and online.
