A mix of textures for Marni Fall/Winter 2015 menswear
For Fall/Winter 2015 Marni showed off its latest menswear offerings with a runway show set amongst works by 20th century sculptor Marino Marini.
The collection was all about tactility, epitomized by the many fur touches including alpaca, sheepskin gilets, goat cardigan coats with a colorful harlequin aspect, and solid color suede overcoats.
The colorful print shirting (worn with solid ties) also offered a bright riposte to the mostly muted tones of olive green, burgundy, blue and black. Checked suiting featured high buttons and contrasting colorful inner linings.
There were also brown and gray tweed jackets, roomy overcoats, oversized knits, and slim-cut pants (as well as some with a 1970s-style flare). The zippers on some of the pant legs matched the zippered boots, which were complemented with lace-up sneakers with leather bands and goat fur backpacks.
