A Shakespearean classic comes to life in Romeo + Juliet, the tale of star-crossed lovers whose romance blossoms amidst the chaos of a family feud. Starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Romeo and Claire Danes as Juliet, the pair fall madly in love and secretly wed to hide their marriage from their rival families. But as tragedy strikes, their love story spirals into a tragic double suicide. Though the story is devastating, the visuals, performance, and, of course, the fashion make this movie an iconic and truly enjoyable watch.
Juliet’s iconic angel costume features a stunning white Prada dress, while Romeo’s wedding suit is another sleek Prada creation. With Dolce & Gabbana waistcoats and cowboy leather belts, as well as custom-made items for the movie, the younger Capulets embrace bold fashion. The mob bosses and their wives are fitted with beautiful gowns and sharp tailoring by Yves Saint Laurent, which gives this modern adaptation of a classic tragedy a luxurious edge.
