Slub

Slub fabric is any fabric that is made from slub yarns. These yarns are made in varying thicknesses down the length of the yarn. This can be produced either by accident or it may be purposefully introduced during or after spinning. Slub yarns are usually produced for ‘Novelty effect,’ and are known as fancy yarns. When the fabric is woven using these yarns, the slubs or imperfections form a continuous pattern in the material. Slub yarn is often used to create soft materials for table linens and other similar textiles. One of the most popular types of this fabric is ‘Slub Silk.’
