Duck

Duck fabric is a strong, hardwearing plain weave fabric. Originally it was made entirely from linen, but later on cotton started to be used more and more. Nowadays it is usually 100% cotton or a cotton blend. Duck fabric is very similar to cotton in the fact that it is made in many different weights depending on the end purpose. It is hard-wearing, durable and resistant to the elements. It is mainly used for outdoor coverings, tarpaulins, utility clothing and work wear.
