Pinterest: the 2013 fashion list
According to the Telegraph, Victoria Beckham was 2013’s most pinned celebrity in the UK. ‚Posh Spice‘ was snapped carrying one of her highly covetable Victoria Beckham bags, in the top image from this year.
The social media site is hugely popular with brides-to-be who curate elaborate collections of images for their own inspiration. Well known as a bridal designer, it’s perhaps not such a surprise that an image of Jenny Packham’s ‚Esme‘ dress from her 2013 bridal collection catwalk show was the site’s most repinned image in the UK. As one of Kate Middleton’s favorite designers, Packham has seen her profile rise considerably over the past few years.
Earlier this year a survey carried out by Pivot Conferences and analytics firm Curalate named Chanel as the most pinned fashion brand internationally with an average of 400 pins and over 3,600 re-pins per day. The French fashion giant fought off competition from luxury shoe labels Christian Louboutin and Jimmy Choo (which placed second and third respectively).
Last week California-based search giant Google revealed the most-searched for fashion brands in the United States, which saw the list dominated by American and Italian labels. Milan-based Versace took home the top prize, closely followed by Michael Kors, Diesel Black Gold and Gucci. Beckham was back again for Google’s rivals, as Victoria Beckham beat Kors to the top spot on the Bing list as ‚most searched for fashion designer‘ in 2013.
