Paris haute couture: highlights from Dice Kayek
A wealth of colors and, above all else, breathtaking volume: these were the defining factors of the label’s collection, the last presented during this season’s haute couture week.
Hardly any pants were seen, as the Dice Kayek woman is ultra-feminine and steps out only in skirts and dresses. But these ladylike pieces stood out for being highly structured. Bubble skirts made a strong showing, along with extra-puffy sleeves, while skillful pleating added extra volume to already ample dresses.
While most of the looks were based on solid fabrics, some were adorned with embroidery or beadwork. These extra decorations were really nothing more than accessories to these dresses, which don’t require any extra polish to shine.
