New NikeLab’s collaboration: Sacai
The New NikeLab collaboration with Sacai will be launched officially tomorrow March 19. Sacai- founded by Comme des Garcons alumna Chitose Abe – redesigned the NikeLab usual silhouette trying to define a new sport style.
The capsule will include 8 pieces and it will combine the Nike iconic looks with the feminine vision of the Sacai designer.The collection will also include a totally new version of the Nike Air Max trainer.
Sacai was founded in Tokyo in 1998 and has been recently popular for its reinterpretation of the tradition silhouettes:“I’ve always been inspired by classics,” Abe said. “Working with traditional silhouettes and ideas that often come from utility or performance-based sportswear, I’m interested in creating new hybrids that combine different fabrics and shapes to create an unexpected yet wearable result.”
NikeLab x Sacai will be available at NikeLab locations in New York, London, Paris, Milan, Hong Kong, and Shanghai and on nike.com/NikeLab in North America, Western Europe, Japan and China.
