London Collections: Men: highlights from Sunday
Christopher Shannon
A collection dedicated to the late Louise Wilson of Central Saint Martins, Shannon’s models arrived with Prodigy-style „Firestarter“ haircuts, stamping out in handcut mash-up prints and hard-toed CAT boots. The recent winner of the debut BFC/GQ Designer Menswear Fund also served up minimalist stripes, technical fabrics, cut-outs, bonded abstract geometric shapes and zippers.
Matthew Miller
Miller packed in plenty of pinstripes in a tailored-with-a-twist collection. Alongside the blocks of navy blue came floral cuffs and garland necklaces, sewn-on slogan ribbons, and cut-and-stitch matching patchwork pants, vests, and suiting.
Astrid Anderson
NFL jerseys with the designer’s name branded in big letters appeared alongside a tribal twist on a paisley print. Anderson stuck with the sporty-streetwear theme with elaborate boxing robes and long shorts. Fabric wise, the mesh, lace and nylon were joined by lush velour and bright-dyed faux fur.
