Elie Saab to launch fashion degree

Elie Saab is well known as one of fashion’s biggest names with his red carpet-ready gowns and dresses regularly appearing on Hollywood’s best-dressed stars.

Now budding designers will be able to get the Elie Saab stamp of approval on their resume, as the haute couture legend helps create a new degree in his homeland. 

The ‚Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design in collaboration with Elie Saab‘ will be taught at the Lebanese American University as part of a partnership with The London College of Fashion, and Saab will be taking on a role as Honorary Chairman of the program:

„The vision behind LAU’s fashion design program was to offer the region’s students an education of the highest possible international standards without having to travel too far from home. I am pleased with the agreement, which is a major step toward creating a regional hub for talented designers,“ said Saab.

Fashion education is a booming business. Earlier this year Vogue Magazine publisher Condé Nast announced the launch of its own fashion school based in London, the Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design.
