In 2013 Americans were searching out Versace and Michael Kors on the web
The top five places go to a mixture of Italian and US labels with no mention of classic French brands Chanel and Dior in the top ten.
Versace topped the list as the US’s most searched for luxury fashion brand. Interest in the Italian label peaked in July, perhaps around the time of the brand’s Atelier Versace haute couture show, and the launch of the K-Way and Versus Versace collaboration in stores.
In second place was the all-American Michael Kors whose fashions are super popular in the US and internationally.
Third in the list was Diesel Black Gold, the luxury men’s and womenswear label of Italian denim brand Diesel. Expect the exposure to keep on rising for the company, which is part of Renzo Rosso’s Only The Brave fashion empire, as the brand’s creative director Andreas Melbostad is set to appear as guest designer at Pitti Uomo in Florence January.
Fourth place goes to Gucci, the timeless Italian brand currently under the creative direction of Frida Giannini, while the fifth spot was won by Kate Spade, another home-grown American label.
Here’s the rest of the top ten:

7 – Prabal Gurung
8 – Givenchy
9 – Mulberry
