Armani Privé
Armani Privé Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2015 – The Armani collection seemed to prefer a minimalistic look this season. Opting for a toned down colour palette. Grey, pale blue, sage green, black and nude all featured in the SS15 Couture collection but with an attractive water coloured effect.
The collection as a whole seemed to make reference to Japanese culture, in particular. Bamboo was the main imagery used across all the looks and adapted to connote stronger moods.
Occasion wear featured in every look on the runway. Including appliqued dresses, organza gowns, bamboo printed jackets and bark effect pants. Some of the dresses were strapless and one shoulder, flattering the models.
Nearly all of the gowns were showered with beadwork, embellishment and bamboo prints. However the ostrich feather dresses and capes took centre stage part way through the collection. Immediately adding texture, the soft screen prints lacked.
All of the collection was accessorized with hoop earrings and stilettos matching the colour palette.
