Nina Ricci
Nina Ricci Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – A delicate colour palette was matched with feminine silhouettes to create a collection that could be seen walking down any French Rivera.
Dress designs that looked as if they belonged in an art gallery were components, with a mosaic of watercolour painting tiled faces and wide, tightly pleated necklines exuding a muted urbanity. Fine yellow tones were seen in a wide-scooped dress with thin fastenings paired with a long suburban coat and matching metal-capped shoe. Fringe detailing was placed on outfits to give a hipper twist, along with a fuchsia sequined pant which added some shimmer to an otherwise calm collection.
A classic feel of France was seen in the assortment of accessories; gloves with a laced detail, bags with its straps attached to the waist via belts and nude boots all worked towards a modern take on a vintage staple. Lose curls swung around the face, where a blush check complimented a rosy lip, all of which added a solemn tone of decorum.
