Balmain
Balmain Woman Autumn-Winter 2017-18 – Heavy embellishments and a myriad of fringe detailing infused Balmain’s show with glimpses of rock and roll, yet the appearance of animal print helped to tone this down and in turn create outfits that would clothe any female warrior.
Tight-fitting and figure hugging dresses were repeated within Balmain’s collection, with each offering up a different use of printing and texturing to give diversity and evoked images of a jungle setting. This was furthered by a brown and tan ensemble with a snake-skin design and thigh-high contrasting skinned boots. Apart from the glamourous grunge and safari inspired prints offered by a number of looks, a high waisted knit trouser and black ribbed knitted jumper waved in a slightly more relaxed tone.
A glowy finish was worn by all models, which when matched with a striking contour and dark eye makeup gave another element of precision. Accessories were also designed to perfection, with large bags in an array of animal prints to subtle necklaces either dangling down to compliment the busy texture of the outfit or fitted tightly around the neck, contrasting with chunky golden bracelets.
