Missoni Woman Spring Summer 2017 – The Missoni show was drenched in colour and stripes, as though each piece had been swirled in a barrel of liquid rainbow. There was a relaxed elegance about the collection and an ease that felt fresh to the house.

Knitted tube dresses took centre stage in clean, straight silhouettes. Some fell below the knee in a casual comfortable style. Others barely grazed the thigh, showcasing the full length of the leg. Metallic thread added an element of luxury. One could imagine them shimmering beautifully in the summer sunshine.

Stripes and colour blocking featured heavily throughout the collection with an emphasis on coral, turquoise and burnt sienna. String bikinis cut high on the hips in an eighties style and trousers skimmed the body in pretty pleats.

Looks were accessorised with enormous circular earrings in psychedelic colours. Shoes were metallic mules or colourful pointed leather flats, enhancing the laid-back grace of the collection.
