London menswear shows: highlights from the final collections

A. Sauvage

Sauvage’s brand has been around for a while, but this was the designer’s first collection to get the full runway reveal. The looks mixed streetwear (bombers and boots) and sartorial (velvet tuxedos) elements with a few African-inspired prints nodding to Sauvage’s Ghanaian heritage.

Kent & Curwen 

This was another debut, this time for new creative director Simon Spurr who was recently appointed at the helm of the brand. There was plenty of classic tailoring and sharp colored outerwear, all in the house’s signature sporty cuts (Kent & Curwen started out kitting out cricketers back in 1926).

Chester Barrie

The brand called its collection ‘Tailors of the Unexpected’ and unveiled it with a retro-gambling presentation instead of a runway reveal. A mix of day and evening suiting options with this season’s velvet and turtleneck trends well covered.
