CORRECTION: Christian Lacroix for Petit Bateau

Christian Lacroix has created a new mother-daughter collection for Petit Bateau and the Paris Opera, set to hit stores this Christmas. 

Lacroix said that he jumped at the chance to work with Petit Bateau, associating the brand with many happy childhood memories, and was also extremely pleased to link the project with the Opéra Garnier with whom he has had “the pleasure and honor” of working with on a number of recent dance and operatic productions.  

The five pieces, which range in price from €50 to €250, feature red velvet, gold and fuscia tones, as well as the classic navy and white breton stripes of the brand, and were modelled for the lookbook by emerging French actress Agathe Bonitzer.

The collection will be available online, in select Petit Bateau stores and at the official store of the Palais Garnier from December 6. 

Previous Petit Bateau collaborations have included link-ups with hip Parisian ready-to-wear label Carven, while Lacroix (who is no longer involved with his namesake label) has also designed for Spanish brand Desigual.
