Charlotte Olympia gets comic inspiration

Set to launch on November 1, Charlotte Olympia’s latest shoe and accessories capsule collection looks to classic US comic book series Archie Comics for its inspiration. 

Suede peep-toe pumps ($1,095) come with Betty and Veronica details, and there’s also a comic print version of the Carmen wedge ($1,295), and a comic book leather clutch ($1,595). 

First appearing in 1941, Archie Comics is still going strong, with traditional print versions of the stories now supplemented by tablet apps and online comics. Earlier this year it inspired a special collection of products by Mac Cosmetics.

Charlotte Olympia’s Archie collection will be available exclusively at the Charlotte Olympia stores in Mayfair, Manhattan and Beverly Hills as well as online at www.charlotteolympia.com. Nordstrom and luxury accessories boutique On Pedder will also carry the pieces.
