Autumn-Winter 2010/11 – This show was also about Parisian chic. The tradition French woman carried cigarettes in cigarette holders and wore a multitude of black. The black trench coat hit the runway first and was indicative to the shows criterion. On every models head was the turban. An up-and-coming trend, the turban was reshaped with an added sculpture on the front; this is couture and there’s nothing like remodeling a current trend. Pinstripe suits were not to be missed, at ankle grazing length they revealed fish net tights below; a continued theme throughout. The fur shrugs added an extra ingredient of ‘sass’ into the mix. Innovation took hold of bespoke leather dresses and classier black designs were tres chic, especially when paired with red lipstick and long leather gloves. Snippets of colour burst onto the scene in green, ruby and bronze but the collection finished with long dresses and lingerie to perpetuate the French dream.
