Spring-Summer 2013 – Nicola Formichetti chose to disconnect from the internet and go under the sea. With colours like oyster, sand, coral, and seafoam and an almost electric green glare on some of the fabrics like a jellyfish, he definitely created the illusion of being at one with the ocean. His styles were self confessed not too skinny, not too baggy, just comfortable, without graphics or complexity, but the cutout shapes adorning the necks of the models, or cut out of shirts and waistcoats give it an edge that was quite unexpected. For some reason, this works toward furthering its simplicity taking the elegance out of the suit and replacing it with a childlike innocence.
