John Richmond
Autumn-Winter 2013/14
John Richmond allowed punk to take over for his latest collection, though of course the designer reinvented it for the new season making it a strong, modern punk that was full of attitude and looked straight from the 80s.
The collection was mostly monochrome with occasional injections of red and purple to up the glamour stakes. To add further depth to the collection John incorporated a wide range of textures including leather, fur and plenty of sheer elements, which added a provocative feel.
Though the tailoring of the pieces was consistently feminine John played with shapes and lines enough to keep it varied, using capped sleeves, oversized lapels and other sharp detailing.
