Autumn-Winter 2013/14

Massimiliano Giornetti cemented the increasing focus on outerwear we’ve been seeing with his latest collection for Salvatore Ferragamo. Massimiliano opened and closed the show with outerwear, showing just has prominent an item the coat has become.

The collection had a consistent unstructured aesthetic, with relaxed, simple dresses and plain narrow trousers. Most models emerged with thigh grazing skirts and dresses which served to show off the cut out shoe boots the designer produced.

These latest designs were quite the departure for Salvatore Ferragamo, abandoning the bohemian look we have come to expect and instead moving onto a look of sleek precision and cool, exact lines. The colour palette of black, navy, gray and white supported this.
