Autumn-Winter 2012/13 – The ‘sexy-vampish’ look couldn’t be more extreme at the onset of the show, with thick black buckled leather belts, leather lapels, leather trousers and dominatrix leather jackets. There was no escaping the jet-black appeal which dominated entire outfits teamed with slick back hair. The clothes took a military formation with stiff military overcoats, capes and pencil skirts; notwithstanding the peg-leg trousers. Yet, in a flash, we were treated to the diametrically different floaty and gypsy-like part of the show; what Giornetti termed the ‘light‘ against the ‘rigorous.‘ Contrastingly, the lighter look consisted of billowy chiffon dresses: they hung off the shoulders, came in at the hips via elasticated bands and were tied at the wrist making for puffed sleeves ensuring the perfect ‘swoosh’ effect. It was a collection of two tales, the hard against the soft, the rigid against the loose.
