Autumn-Winter 2012/13 – The angel had landed as models donning the demure of white and the silhouette of wings took centre stage at the opening of the show. It was refreshing and revitalising to see so much white after the darkness of Milan. The idea was very unique; there were hooded models and the wing-like shapes were created using furry arms, otherwise the bodice was created from corseted pieces and an underlay of tassels cascading down the legs. Once more, the models came out in twos and threes enforcing the collection like never before. The angular shapes made for sharp and exaggerated shoulders, tiny waists, and perhaps an alien-like form. Juxtaposed with the white was the black, either draped across white underlays or tailoring outfits in chiffon, fur and PVC. The distorted silhouettes were almost post-modern making it a hard translation for the consumer. Still, a refreshingly idiosyncratic feel.
