Autumn-Winter 2012/13  – One of the most invigorating and innovative shows of any fashion week was upon us today, as Issey Miyake brought the clothes out onto the catwalk before fitting the models to spec; advent-garde at its very best. It was a job well done as the innovation box was well and truly ticked. As for the clothes, they were demure, womanly and offered a little bit for everyone. First, a two-tone lightly knitted tunic dress, perfect for a working day, then a sky blue dress with a pleated hem and sleeves. After, an orange dress with contrasting textures raggedly stitched on. Knit-wear was pertinent creating thick cardigans, skirts and dresses of all styles. Lace leggings worked with ankle boots, and tailored suits were simple and smart, or diverse and unique. There was a jumbled feeling too; a juxtapose of textures created sharp synthetic coats defining the collection perfectly.
