Spring-Summer 2012 – Loose fitted clothing finished a look that was on the masculine side. Mannish wide-legged trousers and blazers looked oversized, nonetheless, the tailoring connoisseur made it look contemporary and sophisticated – this was aided by the sheen that the clothes radiated; it left trousers and blazers shimmering. Typically for the androgyny look collars were raised by shiny leather panels and the girls hair was slicked back. Contrasting modernity with a little heritage, tweed blazers, skirts and trousers made their way into the mix, yet tweed jackets were given a ‘biker’ finish and trousers incorporate black panels running down the side of each leg. A flash of yellow materialised via a full-length evening gown and a lace jumpsuit. Sheer blouses in black and white were paired with Capri trousers to create the motif look – smart tailoring with a touch of sexiness. It was traditional clothing with a spruce of modernity.
