Spring-Summer 2012 – The power that is Miuccia set a style precedent once again, and yes, yet again we will follow in her footsteps.  The flame burning cars gave a playful element to a fashion forward collection of clothing. Coats, -looking suspiciously like re-worked bomber jackets – were cool enough, but made even more so by the appliqué of flowers all over the front in orange and green or blue and cream. A poignant piece was the cotton tube tops worn with high-waist elastic skirts – here the stomach was left bare (a look perfect for frolicking in the sun) or, in other outfits, it was slightly hidden behind a knee-length cardigan. Soft dresses that gathered in at the waist to create a smock like appearance were the capstone of feminineness, yet all manner of this was dispersed when one saw the flames of black and green rearing up from the hem. Iconic pieces have been ascertained once more for another season.
