Spring-Summer 2012 – After a turbulent past year, Stefano Citron and Federico Piaggi seemed to wipe the slate clean with this somewhat virginal collection. White was the colour of choice for the opening of the show. It was, and it had to be, a sanguine collection. In the face of last years adversity the collection was futuristic. Clean lines created a smooth collection, clothes were loose fitted whilst lengths were conservative; it was a wearable collection. Even so, a little innovation was dabbled in. The futurism became clear upon a missing sleeve on one side, and then a full length sleeve on the other. Belts were not the usual wrap arounds, they were folded to fall vertically, although this was perhaps a little too late, Vivienne Westwood created this belt structure last season. Asymmetric cuts were in abundance and at times a swath of fabric swooped down the neck to create more structure in a dress. A mature yet modern collection.
