Spring-Summer 2011 – It was symbolic of the seventies with particular reference to the jumpsuit. This came wide legged in a psychedelic print. With an oversized flower bound to the waist, the look was emblematic to the theme Marc Jacobs were purporting. The flowers were found in the hair, on the shoulders and on the waist. Generally, the clothes draped off the models, yet gold lame hot pants clung to the girls thighs in a sultry sexy manner. Deep pinks, mauve, copper and cinnamon were mixed into the patterns or created a splash of block colouring. The petal inspired silhouette was noteworthy. Coats were focused around pretty petal pleating around the neck. Other times ruffles took command on elasticated tops or billowing maxi-dresses. The models wore motif Missoni knits. They were thin and stripy worn as dresses, tops and at one point, tiny hot pants. It was a very refreshing and autumnal collection.
