Rick Owens is no stranger to putting out controversial shows and his SS16 offering is no different.
Labelled ‘human backpacks’ in the media frenzy that has followed the show, the collection once more begs the question of where the world of fashion ends and art begins. Although the line is a blurry one, one can’t help but notice that, in all the drama, nowhere is anyone discussing the actual clothes presented.
Is this shock value for the sake of it detracting from the actual garments in the collection?
