Isabel Marant Women Spring Summer 2016 –

Isabel Marant embraces folk and combines this concept with futuristic metallic detailing for her SS16 collection.  Tribal prints were printed on loose fitting long jumpsuits, while a series of garments were dipped in Space Age silver metallic and oil slick black.  Electric blue threads and orange rope were infused with silver accents to make up the intricate embroidery that adorned many of Marant’s pieces.

Folksy embroidered long jackets and ethnic patterned trousers with tassels were big news for next season, as were relaxed, slouchy fit shapes and dresses that epitomised Parisian chic.  Footwear came in the form of flat and heeled sandals with rope ties and detailing.  Marant sent her models down the catwalk with their hair worn loose and unstyled, and make up was minimal, giving a youthful fresh faced look to Marant’s modern and colourful collection.
