Christian Dior
Christian Dior Women Spring Summer 2016 –
Dream-like, feminine, and sheer – these were the key trends of Raf Simon’s vision for Christian Dior SS16. Scalloping was everywhere: on silken white shorts, cropped cream jumpers, and delicate tops. Sheer overlays fell finely over the garments in the form of longer tops, maxi dresses, and skirts. The colour palette for Dior was generally subtle: muted pastel shades, white and cream.
Black tuxedo style short suits were sharply cut and fashioned out of satiny fabrics, and the handbags took on more traditional styles and shapes, as well as being created out of metallic leather. Chockers made up of charms, ribbon, and pieces of different fabric were the main focus of jewellery. The models were prettily made up in soft pink shades, while their hair lay sleekly down their backs in ponytails fastened by ribbon bows.
