Barabara Bui Women Spring Summer 2016 –

Barbara Bui’s SS16 collection was where safari met tailoring: Brown leather was used everywhere, and sophisticated jumpsuits and trousers were fashioned out of navy and white cotton.

Leather was dyed into several colours and manufactured into beautiful garments. Long brown leather shorts were paired with a crisp white shirt; a brown leather dress had a long cape at the back, finished with leather tasseling; a subtle pattern was created out of purple, burnt orange and black snakeskin diamonds pieced together and used in bags and a trouser suit; a matching top and long shorts were fashioned out of aubergine purple leather; an open, floor length dress was fashioned out of fuchsia pink silk.

Cross body bags and tasselled leather was everywhere. Emphasis was also placed on the décolletage and sternum, with maxi dresses wafting open over black bikini style bra tops. Bui’s collection is one fashioned out of animal materials, and flowing, feminine lines.
